Happy October!

We have been busy this week. You should be reading about all we did in your child's learning wheel. Please try to write back to your student over the weekend, they really enjoying reading your responses on Monday!

Now that we are in the swing of things, students will have nightly math and spelling homework. It is important that students remember to take home their spelling and math homework everyday and return it the next day. If you have any questions or concerns over homework, please let me know.

We completed our work Maps and Globes unit and have moved on to our Space unit in Science. Your child came home this week with a Phases of the Moon project. While we have not officially studied the phases of the moon, all your student needs to do is observe the moon and color in how much of the moon they see on the corresponding date. I understand that we are all busy and the weather does not always cooperate. The students can always search online for the recent moon phase. Thank you for your support with this project.

We have completed our first math unit. We will work next week on the end of unit assessment before moving onto Unit 2.

Please remember to send in your permission slip and money for the field trip to the high school. Thank you to those who already have!

As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns about your child. I enjoy every day I have with them.
Have a great weekend!
Jen
