Hello everyone! 

I wanted to reach out and tell you how well the students handled the Smarter Balanced testing. It can be difficult to test for two weeks and to be out of routine, but we made it! 

We will resume our normal schedule both in the classroom and at home with homework. Your student came home with both spelling and math today. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. 

We have started our immigration unit. Don't forget that we are expected to arrive at Ellis Island on Wednesday April 20th! Hope you can make it!  We have also started our nutrition unit. We have talked about the food groups, what foods make up each food group and will begin exploring food labels soon. 

Grades close this Friday and report cards will go home on Friday April 8th. There will be an optional spring conference. Look for more information to come home about that soon. 

We could use tissues, clorox wipes and pencil cap erasers. If you would like to donate any of those items, that would be great, no worries if you can't.
